PARUNTHUMPARA, A beautiful hill station, Idukki District of Kerala. Parunthumpara located 25 K.M from Thekkady Wild Sanchurium, 6 K.M from Peerumedu and 10 K.M from Vandiperiyar National High way NH-220 or Kottayam-Kumily road 

Vagamon, Idukki



started from Thodupuzha @ 6.45Am. Took the route Muttom->Kanjar->Pullikanam->vagamon. 51kms. it was the most relaxed drive i ever had . kept at a max of 60kph and got an average of 17 km/l till Vagamon.  climate was perfect - overcast. so not much heat  . reached vagamon by 8.15. had a good hot cup of coffee from a small hotel and proceeded to vagamon meadows. the wind is just too good and sounds even better. then proceeded to 
pine valley. spend some time there. Had lunch from summer sands resort nearby pine valley. food was expensive but very good..:)

Elappara Tea Plants


Elappara, 8 km from Kuttikanam, is a small hamlet in Peermedu taluk of Idukki district with beautiful tea plantation, houses on hill slope. Vagamon hill station is 14 km away via Bonami and Kolahalamedu. Elappara is on the Kuttikanam - Kattapana road.
